David V.A. Hutchison

Properly speaking, I was in the previous year, only finishing off with the class of 1963 as I had been ill.
On leaving Glasgow I attended Garnett College, London, where I trained as a teacher in Further Education.
I was appointed Assistant Lecturer in Mathematics at Woolwich College and was subsequently promoted to Lecturer, then Senior Lecturer in the same college.
In 1973 I obtained a Masters degree in Statistics at City University.
In 1975 I was appointed Principal Lecturer in Maths at South Devon College, Torbay.
Subsequently, I was appointed Head of the Science and Community Care Department.
Later, I became Faculty Head of Humanities and Science, and finally Vice-Principal, Personnel.
I took early retirement in 1996 and have continued to live in Paignton.
