Fifty
years sounds like a long time, but for our class that graduated in 1963,
those years have gone by quickly. There have been a couple of previous
reunions, and the small group working on the current reunion has made full
use of the latest technology to contact our colleagues using the Internet
and also to produce this reunion booklet.
Close
to a third of our class have agreed to come to one or more of the events,
and we are pleased some of them are bringing their spouses. Tuesday 11th
June has been planned and organised for us to have a relaxing time with
plenty of time for “meet and greet” and a chance to catch up on the many
years since we last met. Wednesday 12th June is organised by the University
and we hope you will reply to the official lunch invitation you should have
received.
There
are many more details about the reunion on this web site. You can
start jogging your memory, by visiting the individual pages some members of our
class have provided, and also by looking at the photo pages, which
include some pictures taken in class. Even if you cannot come to the
reunion please submit a short narrative bio and photo.
If you
have not already decided to come, please reconsider and join us for a couple
days back on Gilmorehill – there is lots to talk about – this is a once in a
life-time occasion – please don't miss it.
Your Organising
Committee –
Gerald Ratzer and Robert Smith (whose joint initiative in December 2011
provided the impetus for the reunion)
Bill Paton and Ian Jones
With grateful thanks to Emma Sloan, GU International Development Officer, for
welcome research, advice and assistance in making the reunion possible.
