50th Anniversary Reunion June 2013 - Programme

Please note that we have been advised by the University that parking is very difficult, and that it is recommended to use public transport or taxi.

Tuesday 11th June

Suggested dress code is jacket and tie (with tie removable if required)

Morning

10.30am to 11am        Gather and 'Meet and Greet' at the Hunterian Art Gallery

11am                          Tour of 'The Unrivalled Collection'

Afternoon/Evening

12 noon to 2 pm         Lunch at One A the Square Brasserie – with ‘Meet and Greet’ for later arrivals
                              
2pm to 3pm                Meet in the Melville Room.   Possible brief visit from the Principal

3pm to 4.30pm           Tour of the School of Physics and Astronomy (Optional for spouses)
                                 (Organised by Prof Martin Hendry)

4.30pm to 6.00pm       Department Common Room available (Optional) prior to Dinner

6.00pm for 6.30pm      Dinner at the Ubiquitous Chip Restaurant, 12 Ashton Lane

                             All snacks/lunch/dinner are on a ‘Pay as you go’ basis.

 

Wednesday 12th June – University Commemoration Day

Dress code as advised by the University is lounge suit

9.45am          Service for the Commemoration of Benefactors commences in the University Chapel.

10.30am        Service concludes (approx).

11.00am        Honorary graduation ceremony commences in the Bute Hall

12.30pm        Ceremony concludes (approx).

1.00pm for 1.15pm Commemoration Day Lunch in the Hunter Halls.       Comes to a close around 3.00pm.
                             A table for our group has been arranged
